This role at Al Arqam involves providing spiritual guidance, leading religious services, and nurturing the spiritual well-being of the Muslim community. You will be responsible for delivering sermons, conducting prayers, providing religious education, and offering support and counsel to members in accordance with the tenets of Islam.
Responsibilities:
Lead congregational prayers, deliver sermons, and guide religious gatherings following the principles and practices of Islam.
Interpret Islamic teachings and provide guidance to individuals seeking understanding and adherence to Islamic beliefs.
Facilitate religious education programs to educate and engage community members, promoting a deeper understanding of Islamic faith and values.
Perform religious ceremonies such as marriages, funerals, and other significant rituals integral to Islamic practice.
Offer pastoral care and spiritual counseling to community members, visiting homes, hospitals, and other locations to provide guidance and support.
Entry Requirements:
Typically requires a degree and ijaazah in Qur’an / Islamic theology from a recognised authority or equivalent qualification.
Candidates interested in joining Al Arqam’s clergy may undergo a selection process and receive training in Islamic theology and pastoral care as per the organization’s guidelines.
This position involves serving the spiritual needs of the Muslim community, embodying and disseminating the teachings and values of Islam as practiced by Al Arqam.
Salary – £20000 per annum
